The Spanish brand Wolder has recently launched a new eReader model called the miBuk Mirage . This device updates Wolder's new range of eReaders, which began with the Harmony model.
With the miBuk Mirage, Wolder aims to take the performance of the miBuk Harmony to the next level by offering more power in exchange for a high price, but is the hardware really worth the price difference?
The new miBuk Mirage features a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 758 pixels using E-Ink Pearl technology . This screen is also backlit and touch-sensitive.

The processor is from Freescale and it has 256 MB of RAM. This eReader has 8 GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot. The battery is 2.000 mAh , a larger capacity than the miBuk Harmony's and more than enough for over a month of use, although this may vary depending on usage. The eReader recognizes the following file formats: PDF, TXT, PUB, PDB, MOBI, RTF, HTM, HTML, ZIP, FB2, and DOC.
The operating system is proprietary, meaning that we cannot use reading service apps because it does not have Android , as is the case in other eReader models, for example in the Onyx Boox models.
The cost of the miBuk Mirage is 119 euros , a fairly high price considering that the screen technology is quite old as well as the difference with the miBuk Harmony.
At first glance , the differences lie in a touchscreen and a larger battery, which might be more than enough for some, but not for others. In this case, there are many worthwhile models, such as the miBuk Harmony or the Tagus Lux 2016, eReader models that are more interesting and more affordable than the miBuk Mirage.
