Tutorial: Send Documents to Your Kindle to Read Later

Amazon

One of the great benefits of Amazon Kindle devices compared to other devices on the market is that it allows the sending of documents through a WiFi network to be able to access them at another time when we have more time or more peace of mind and with the convenient saving of paper that this I can suppose.

Today using this simple tutorial that we have titled: Send documents to your Kindle to read later, We want to show you how to make use of this interesting function and that is usually somewhat unknown to many of the owners of a Kindle.

Everyone who registers a Kindle through Amazon receives a unique email address ending in @ kindle.com that allows the sending and receiving of emails but also allows access to other functions like sending documents to your Kindle from a WiFi network to access them at a more convenient time.

Through this function you can send files of up to 50 mb and in very different and varied formats; Word (doc, docx), html, rtf and how could it be otherwise the specific Kindle formats (mobi, azw). It is also possible to send images in formats: jpeg, jpg, gif, png and bmp.

Amazon

One detail that Amazon has thought about is the possibility that our mail will be bombarded with the much detested spam and for this it is necessary to confirm the address of the emissary and it has also limited to 25 documents that can be sent in one go and 15 email addresses to which a document can be sent.

Once the documents are received in our mail through the email address, they are automatically filed in our library where they will remain until we delete them. These documents are treated the same as a book and will allow us the same options as eBooks.

Steps to send a document to our Kindle:

  1. First of all we must register our Kindle and then access the configuration screen where you can find your personalized email address
  2. Then you just have to write an email to your Kindle address with the attached document. This can be done from anywhere, computer, tablet, smartphone or from anywhere else
  3. All that remains is to send the email and it will already be available in the library of our Kindle when we turn on the device

It is important to remember that it is necessary to have approved the email account from which the documents are sent to our Kindle because otherwise they will not be received.

Did you know the option to send documents to your Kindle? Do you find it interesting?.

An interesting fact that you have not commented on is the possibility of converting the documents that we send to a fully compatible format. Very useful for a much more comfortable reading of PDFs. Just write the word convert in the subject of the email.

      Good morning Monica !!

We have commented that the documents sent had the same options as the eBooks with what we wanted to say more or less what you come to say but perhaps we should have explained it a little better.

      Thank you for your comments!!
