Throughout 2016, we saw models from all the well-known and lesser-known eReader manufacturers and brands. In many cases, we saw more than one model, with the exception of the Tolino Alliance, which only presented one eReader model, the Tolino Page . But this is about to change. The Tolino Alliance website recently introduced a new eReader called the Tolino Vision 4 HD , which will be available for purchase starting tomorrow in Alliance stores.
This eReader introduces quite a few new features within the range and even within the market, as in addition to having Carta technology, its device is water resistant and has a large battery.
The Tolino Vision 4 HD is an eReader with a 6-inch Carta display. Like many others, it features a 1 GHz Freescale processor and 512 MB of RAM. The Tolino Vision 4 HD has 8 GB of internal storage , of which only 6 GB are usable. The screen has a resolution of 1448 x 1072 pixels with 300 ppi. It is also touch-sensitive and backlit. What sets this device apart is its ability to adjust the screen's color temperature based on ambient light and time of day, rather than simply providing a blue light. This feature is particularly appealing to many readers.
The Tolino Vision 4 HD will feature tap2flip technology , allowing you to turn pages from the back. This eReader has a 1.500 mAh battery , providing several weeks of battery life, and even includes a new technology similar to fast charging, allowing for extended use even with a low charge.
In this case, we're dealing with a water-resistant eReader. The Tolino Vision 4 HD features HZO , indicating that it's internally coated and water-resistant, although it's not suitable for scuba diving, unlike some other devices.
For the rest, the Tolino Vision 4 HD has the accessories of other Tolino models, that is, a 25 Gb cloud disk, Wi-Fi connection, direct access to the Tolino store, etc…. Regarding formats, it not only reads pdf files or mobi ebooks but also reads ebooks in Epub format.
Although we don't yet know the price, on the official website the Tolino Vision 4 HD replaces the Tolino Vision 3 HD, so we expect its price to be similar, around €159 . However, we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out, as no online store has listed it yet. In any case, it's an interesting eReader, a model that, despite its late arrival, could pose a serious challenge to some eReaders on the market, don't you think?
