The Frankfurt Book Fair is just around the corner , and as usual, the Tolino Alliance is taking the opportunity to unveil its new eReaders. This time, they haven't held back and have already announced the eReaders they will be presenting, but they haven't revealed any details about their features.
The new eReaders are called Tolino Vision 3 HD and Tolino Shine 2 HD , two premium eReaders that will compete with the Kobo Glo HD and the Kindle Paperwhite 3 for the eReader title based on screen size.
The Tolino Vision 3 HD will be a new, improved, and possibly more expensive model than the Kindle Voyage . It has been indicated that it will have a high price, so considering that Tolino Alliance eReaders typically cost around €150, this higher price will likely be close to that of the Kindle Voyage.
Tolino Vision 3 HD will be priced higher than normal
The Tolino Vision 2 HD will be the continuation of a family that we thought was forgotten , and I personally believe that it will be an update of the model in terms of processor and memory, but I don't think it will represent an advance like the rest of the eReaders that have come out during the last few months.
For months there has also been talk of a new Tolino Tab , a Tolino tablet that would be equivalent to the current Tolino Tab 8 model. We don't know anything concrete about the tablet, but it's possible that something will be mentioned during the Frankfurt Trade Fair event.
To be honest, I was personally expecting something new from Tolino, but these names (especially the Tolino Vision 3 HD) and these announcements have really thrown me off, since Tolino eReaders presumably had some of the most powerful screens on the market. Could this mean that these eReaders will use a new technology? Will they be more expensive than the Kindle Voyage? Will there be other new features in Tolino eReaders?
