As we've discussed in recent weeks, major publishers attribute this year's low sales figures to the lack of a bestseller capable of selling hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide. Since they seem to have given up hope this year, they're now preparing a book that will undoubtedly sell well, even if the reading experience isn't quite what many might hope for.
Last June, Penguin published the fourth installment of the Fifty Shades saga, a retelling of the story from Christian Grey's perspective. Now, E.L. James is working on a fifth book . James herself posted what appears to be a screenshot from this fifth book on her Facebook page, which is expected to be released around the time of the film's premiere in 2017.
The Fifth Book of Fifty Shades of Gray
The second title in Fifty Shades Darker: From Christian's Point of View, will arrive in 2017 , and we have the option of going to Facebook to learn about the texts that will give way to that world of darkness in which the main character moves, a world overflowing with money and earthly pleasures.
The Fifty Shades Darker movie is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in February 2017. It will garner significant media attention, and the entire book industry will begin a promotional campaign to resell the original trilogy.
It's not yet known when pre-orders for this new book will be available, but it will coincide with the film's release. It's another title the publishing industry hopes will generate substantial profits to help it through the rest of the year.
