Scribd introduces new features to its service

Scribd

The popular ebook subscription service, Scribd, continues to innovate its service with the mission of attracting new users, much like Kindle Unlimited or Spotify. However, these new features are novel within the world of ebook subscriptions and rely on artificial intelligence to offer new services to the readers (those who remain) who use Scribd's subscription plan.

According to what has been published on the official Scribd website, the service will include new features such as celebrity reading lists , lists of ebooks that we can use in a personal setting or simply share with our social networks.

Scribd will show us the reading list of the most famous and important people

Another new feature will be called " Interests ," which will show us ebooks, audiobooks, and books that are compatible with our recent reading or the interests we set when configuring the tool. This feature will use artificial intelligence that appears to be very effective, although we don't know if we're already familiar with this AI.

The third feature is called " trending ," just like the famous Twitter term. Trending will show us the hottest readings and topics related to the Scribd catalog, something that will be useful for the most curious users looking for readings to satisfy their reading needs.

Scribd's new features are very interesting , so much so that many other services like Kindle Unlimited will surely try to implement them. However, once again, doubts remain about Scribd, as they haven't specified what data will be collected from our devices when searching for interests and preferences. Scribd has focused everything on the mobile world, but will the mobile world accept this app? What do you think?
