We told you a while ago about a new software for writers called Scrivener . This tool was quite different from Sigil or Calibre's editor because it offered a complete suite of tools needed to write a book or ebook, not just basic editing. Scrivener lets you take all the necessary steps to write any kind of literature, but the only drawback for many is that you have to pay to use it; in other words, Scrivener has a paid license.
However, several users, concerned about the lack of a free alternative or a Linux version of Scrivener, decided to create a similar but free and open-source software. This tool is called Manuskript.
Manuskript is still under development, but despite that, it performs its basic functions very well , and our only complaint is its clunky interface. It's a simple, somewhat rough interface that closely resembles Scrivener, but with some user-friendly modifications.

On a technological level, Manuskript not only allows the creation of ebooks in various formats but also has options to import texts and images and has the famous card game that will allow us to create characters , their personalities, places, etc…
You can find Manuskript through its official website or through its GitHub repository . The latter contains the latest version of the program, which may be good but could also be unstable and cause problems.
In any case, Manuskript is available for Linux, Windows, and macOS , which means those who don't want to pay for Scrivener can still enjoy the same benefits. However, if you don't want either of these tools, you always have the option of Sigil or the Calibre Editor . Which one would you choose?
