Magnetique, the first comic created to see with Virtual Reality glasses

Surely when many talk about Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality you remember the famous Google or Oculus glasses or video games, but the thing can go further and also offer reading pieces, interactive reading pieces.

Thus, a young company dedicated to this has created Magnetique , the first virtual reality comic that can be used with Samsung Gear VR or any other type of glasses.

In this case, Magnetique is a free comic that we can download from here , telling the story of the adventures of a young puppeteer named Nero . The first volume is free, and for now, there's only one available. This comic is special because all the panels have been digitized and created in 360 degrees , which we then view through the glasses. As we touch the characters, we see and hear the text in the speech bubbles. It's a simple idea that maintains the spirit of the comic while embracing the new technologies that are gradually becoming available to us.

Magnetique will be the first of many comic to arrive on Samsung Gear VR or Google Cardboard

On the other hand, Magnetique is also a role model that will lead to many comics reaching not only Virtual Reality but also other platforms like ebooks. The truth is that, to this day, few authors have considered the possibility of playing with the eReader's touchscreen or color palette, something that could be used for comics or other reading formats, don't you think?

In any case, it seems comics have moved ahead of other reading formats and are already in Virtual Reality, which is a positive thing, but what will be the next format to make the leap to this world? Will there be ebooks that can be viewed like Magnetique? Will Marvel eventually bring the X-Men adventures to the Virtual World?
