Kobo's new eReader will be available next month, along with new accessories and features that will make the Kobo Aura One a great eReader on the market. One of the new accessories will be the sleepcover case for the eReader.
An interesting accessory for many, although it also has its drawbacks that every user should take into account when buying this accessory.
The Kobo Aura One sleepcover fits the eReader perfectly and allows you to not only put the device to sleep and wake it by opening or closing the cover, but also provides a stand for reading on a flat surface, like placing the eReader on a stand. These features are useful because they make the eReader more manageable and therefore more practical, especially with its 8-inch screen.
This sleepcover is not compatible with water like the Kobo Aura One
But it also has its drawbacks. It's important to remember that the Kobo Aura One is known for being water-resistant, but this sleepcover isn't, so water and high temperatures could damage it . Therefore, if you buy this sleepcover, your Kobo Aura One won't be able to be taken to certain places, like underwater.
I've been using an eReader for quite a few years now, and interestingly enough, it's the Kobo Aura HD, a fairly robust eReader that hasn't needed a case. Considering this, the Kobo Aura One probably doesn't need any protection either. However, if we want to use it as an eReader and not as a waterproof case, a sleepcover might be a good option, especially if the battery life is low, although this particular case doesn't have a built-in battery, unfortunately . A sleepcover with a built-in battery could be a very useful addition to the Kobo Aura One or any other eReader , don't you think?
