iPhone with electronic ink or iPad in the form of an eReader, what do you think?

This isn't official news from either company, but it has affected both. Apparently, a news outlet reported yesterday on the possibility of an Apple device with an E-Ink display.

This set off alarm bells not only for Apple fanboys but also for E-Ink, a company that was registering its highest stock market performance since 2012. However, we still don't know what device would emerge from this merger or whether such a merger will actually be successful.

The news of the iPhone with E-ink screen has affected the shares of E-Ink

It all stems from reports that Apple has ordered a development kit and products from E-Ink . This has led to speculation about a dual-screen iPhone, similar to the Yotaphone 2. However, more cautious observers suggest it could be the creation of a series of official cases that add a second screen.

In any case, the product seems vague, as does the credibility of the source, since many claim that the original news, published in the Economic Daily News, is unreliable. Regardless of its veracity, E-Ink's stock has soared, reaching highs not seen since 2012, the year of Amazon's Kindle Paperwhite launch.

Personally, I think the kit Apple ordered from E-Ink is for future Apple projects, but as some have pointed out, it's for use in Apple's lab. It probably won't result in a final product , but it's possible that there might even be an iPad model with an e-ink display, offering an alternative to the Kindle. But I think that's unlikely. What do you think? Do you believe Apple will release a product with an E-Ink screen? Do you think it will be an iPad or perhaps an iPhone with a dual screen?
