Yesterday was the scheduled day for the announcement of the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature , which, as every year, had a long list of favorites, none of whom were among the final winners. And when the secretary of the Swedish Academy, Sara Danius, announced Bob Dylan as the winner of the prestigious prize, everyone present, and indeed the entire world, looked at each other in astonishment.
Robert Allen Zimmermann, Dylan's real name, is one of the most internationally renowned musicians, having sold millions of records worldwide. The academy highlighted his "poetic explorations within the American musical tradition . "

His status as a musician has caused quite a stir , since for the first time in history we will not be able to enjoy the works of a Nobel laureate in Literature in a bookstore and on paper, but we will have to buy them in a music store and listen to them, but as they say, there must always be a first time for everything or almost everything.
Some of Bob Dylan's lyrics are what has earned him this prestigious award. Among them, Blowin 'in the Wind or The Times They Are a-Changin stand out, which for many of us who have already combed some gray hair are authentic hymns.
Honestly, and although I've been a longtime fan of Dylan's music, I don't think he deserves this award , despite his enormous contributions. To deserve a Nobel Prize in Literature, you have to create books and stories, although we can leave that for another day when we'll reflect on whether this brilliant musician deserved a Nobel Prize in Literature or not.
