Amazon has long been trying to curb business that is done in parallel with the Amazon store. One of the most striking businesses is getting paid to give a positive opinion of the product or the ebook.
In the first instance, Amazon began taking legal action against companies that took advantage of these services. But now Amazon has taken a step further and will become more radical with the incidents related to this issue.
In the first place, the user who has a review or comment deleted for being purchased will be "signed" by Amazon and no user will be able to operate with the comments from that ip. Something interesting because it will limit those who make a living with these comments.
Amazon will block users who use the same IP's as blocked users
Another of the measures that Amazon will take will be reducing discount coupons for ebooks by commenting on the product. Currently Amazon gives some codes so that the writer can distribute among his friends and comment on the ebook in question.
This can be a source of problems and resales, so Amazon has decided to reduce this situation and have control over the comments and ip addresses of such couponsIn addition to not giving away the ebook for doing this. That is, the coupons will stop being as they were until now.
These measures are fine, since it ends speculation and hoaxes in ebook comments. Even so, companies and false comments continue and although they do not control all Amazon ebooks, it is easy for the next ebook that we buy to have a comment bought. To give you an idea, currently Amazon has more than 500.000 fake reviews removed, an impressive number and it seems that it is only the tip of the iceberg.
