Apparently Amazon continues to work on its devices, on new models that exceed the current ones and make users choose Amazon over other stores or other products.
We recently learned something new about Amazon's upcoming products. According to Bloomberg , Amazon tablets and Amazon Echo will be combined into a single device, or so it seems. The new version of the Amazon Echo 2 will have a seven-inch screen , a screen that we don't think will be e-ink.
The new Amazon Echo will feature a circular, seven-inch screen. The intention is for users to receive visual information through this screen , and also to integrate all of Amazon's software into their smart home—something that isn't possible with current Amazon tablet models, as they are designed to display information rather than interact with the user.

So the new Amazon Echo 2 will broadcast weather information, movie trailer information, etc… But I don't know to what extent it will be ideal for use as a reading device like current tablets.
In any case, we don't know when this new Amazon Echo model will be launched, nor what Amazon will do with the Fire tablets, something we will possibly find out next year with the launch of new Amazon products.
Personally, I don't think it's easy to read on a circular screen ; just try it with LED signs. However, Amazon might be able to adapt the design and get users to adopt this new device. Although, considering how long it took Amazon to release the first Amazon Echo device , we might not see the next version until 2020. What do you think?
