"Winds of Winter" will go on sale on March 9 according to information from Amazon

Song of ice and fire

The publication of The Winds of Winter , the sequel to George R.R. Martin's successful saga , which also served as the basis for the acclaimed television series Game of Thrones, was originally scheduled for release in early 2016. Unfortunately, it has suffered continuous delays since then.

However, it seems the wait may be nearing its end, as according to information published by Amazon France, presumably by mistake, Martin's new novel will be published on March 9, 2017.

HarperCollins is the publisher in charge of publishing the novels and although it has not yet confirmed the leaked information, it has stated through a spokesperson that "nothing has been decided regarding publication or date".

George R.R. Martin, who usually publishes information about his new novels through his official website, has not yet confirmed a release date. He did, however, previously announce that The Winds of Winter would arrive in bookstores worldwide in January 2016, a date that ultimately did not materialize.

For now, we have to wait to find out when we can enjoy The Winds of Winter , something that is taking a long time, especially since all the fans of the literary saga expected to have it by last January 2016, as it was officially announced.

Do you think The Winds of Winter will finally arrive in bookstores worldwide on March 9, 2017?
